I gave this that score because the event happened on Saturday, October 14th and the article was not posted until Monday, October 16th. I believe they should have posted this on the day the event happened or the following day. 

 Significance- 2/4
I do not believe this has much significance because it would only effect the people who live in the around there. They would be effected by the partiers and the board of the University.

 Proximity- 3/4
I believe it would be interesting to read because the people will know the place the are reading and will understand it better.

 Prominence- 3/4
The University students are pinpointed in this article but they are not pointed out int he huge world around us.

 Human Interest- 3/4
To some people this article might interest but not many. In this article there was no life or death situations or anything major that occurred so it most likely is not going to interest a great deal of people.

I gave this said score because it just happened recently and it is still fresh in the news world. People are still hearing about this and are still in shock from it and it is related to what is going on in the world today.

Significance- 4/4
I gave this part of the article said mark because the information is very significant to what is going on in the world today. This article informs us that a family with 3 children have been rescued from a Taliban-linked group.

Proximity- 3/4
Although this is not happen to Canada, Canadians were involved in this situation. This gives it a reason to connect to Canada. 

Prominence- 3/4
This story have prominence because the people who were involved are named. Not everyone will know the people in this article but some will, this is why the article lost a point in my eyes. 

Human Interest- 3/4
This article will grab the attention of some but not everyone. This will interest some people because they will want to know why they were held hostage and what happened to them while they were in there.

Fake News I believe the photo about the flower is true because u have actually seen one of this before. Also, I checked it out online on an official site and it stated that the photo could possibly be real. This site said that radiation could be the reason but we are not 100% sure. Journal Entry #2 - Starting With The Basics

LOCAL MAN ACCUSED OF MURDER! On Saturday, April 23, 2016, a 20 year old man was accused with killing a 49 year old.  Yes, I believe the lead is effective because this is a local guy who killed someone in the Chatham area. He is now sentenced to 15 years in prison due to the charges he is given.  "You should be going to jail, but your not." "I hope you rot in jail."  This article is very eye catching to anyone that lives in Blackville or the surrounding areas. This young man has caused so much trouble around here that he is recognized for what he has done. By stating that a local killed a man is going to grab the attention of others because everyone likes to know whats going on around here.    On September 26, 7 new volunteer firefights were hired after a City Council meeting. After the entry level training that had to completed, all seven firefighters are suitable to continue training at a higher level. They will be a Level 1 Firefighter course in October.
